EditShare and Octopus Newsroom Unveil Next-Generation Newsroom Solution at IBC 2025

EditShare and Octopus Newsroom have unveiled a joint newsroom solution that combines Octopus' story-centric newsroom platform with EditShare's high-performance media infrastructure, built for broadcast, digital, and social news delivery. The integrated workflow was demonstrated at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, September 12 to 15.

Octopus NRCS supports newsrooms from single-channel operations to global broadcast networks, with more than 100 third-party integrations via MOS protocol and open APIs, real-time script editing, rundown management, and multi-platform publishing. EditShare contributes EFS shared storage with over 20 GB/s of throughput and 20PB-plus scalability, FLOW media asset management for automated ingest, proxy creation, versioning, and AI metadata tagging, multi-channel ingest for satellite, field, and agency feeds, and Vbox rundown integration connected to Octopus via MOS.

Together, the two platforms are designed to address the speed, collaboration, and scalability challenges modern newsrooms face: multi-channel ingest and NVMe storage for rapid asset access, support for parallel workflows across locations, storage that scales from 32TB to over 20PB, and more than 100 MOS and API integrations for broad compatibility.
